I bought these because they looked to be of great quality but without the price of the higher end brand. It was the worse possible mistake I could have ever made. They made my ankle twist in a way that I know was the boot and not my foot, and even just puddle water seeps in! They do not protect your feet at all from the elements, and by 2 months looked as if I'd had them for years! THESE ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORSE investment you can make. I'd rather pay twice and get the real deal.... you've been advised.

i am very pleased with this boot. it's very warm, rugged, and great quality. i didn't, however, buy this style to tramp around in deep snow and i wouldn't recommend it for that purpose. i make sure to spray it with suede protector so it doesn't get eaten by salt. all things being equal, i would've loved to have gotten a pair of uggs, but these emus are a great substitute. one other thing: these run big! i take an 8.5-9 regularly; my emus are an 8 and fit well. go down a size!
